Dimon dedicated a portion of his annual shareholder letter to the importance of AI for JPMorgan's business and society at large. Dimon said, “over time, we anticipate that our use of AI has the potential to augment virtually every job.” It has amassed thousands of AI experts and data scientists and is exploring the deployment of generative AI. Dimon emphasized that the consequences of AI could be extraordinary and possibly as transformational as significant historical technological inventions such as the printing press, the steam engine, electricity, computing, and the internet.
