AMD, Cisco and Saudi AI startup Humain are creating a joint venture to build data centers, starting with a 100 MW site in Saudi Arabia. Humain says Luma AI has contracted the facility’s entire capacity. Backed by Saudi funding, the venture plans up to 1 GW of data centers by 2030. AMD will supply MI450 chips, with construction slated for 2026.

A report from analytics firm Graphika concludes that nine major state-linked influence operations — including networks tied to China and Russia — are now heavily using generative AI to create text, images, videos, and fake personas. Researchers say the shift has made propaganda production cheaper and more automated, but the resulting output is mostly low-quality “AI slop” that receives little engagement.
